I also have a newer truck I have now a Saturn vue 2008 vs my 95 chevy blazer. and what not so yeah ive been watching lots of anime though this year it seems their are a lot of weird ones lol
Nice to know that you're doing wel buddy, I've been away but not as much as you and I really haven't been watching much either to boot. I'm sticking with my 360 for at least another year....not evening going to look at next-gen despite Halo 5 coming out this year....so soon imo.

Lol, I do enjoy Battlefield 3 but I feel Battlefield 4 to be rushed and sorta "out-of-shape" compared to previous Battlefield games.

Started watching Mawaru Penguindrum and there's this seriously cringe-worthy scene in like episode 7 or 8, where the chick drugs a guy and is about to rape him....I just stopped there, I know the series is good and stuff but I just haven't gone back to it since.

Finished Tomb Raider (2013), great single player but not as good as Far Cry 3, the multiplayer for Tomb Raider is weaksauce, I hate the fact that you have to get max rank for one of the trophies/achievements.....so much grinding but I'm almost done.

I need to remember to look at this forum I REALLY NEED TO GET BACK INTO MY ANIME =3 but I did get back into dling them up to my banwidth limit I finally know I have

ive been playing now a lot this game called kantai collection its a web game and freaking addictive lol. I guess tring to farm for cute anime girls that represents ships is a must lol

Aside from looking for a job again this year, keeping up with my anime, but now slacking off on my manga reading though. Hopefully I'll have time to binge read to catch up on the series I'm reading then.

Aside from that another semster to be had in the anime club I attend to, along with the gaming club known as /tg/ on campus as well.

Looking into timing MMPPPP 38 rawr

Been watching a little more anime that was recommended to me by Senpai. However, most of my time is used up at work and when I get back home, I play my 360 for about 2 hours or so, currently I've been playing Phantom Breaker: Battle Grounds (there's a DLC where you can get Kurisu from Steins;Gate, which is pretty sweet) and I started playing DARK today, which really isn't that good of a game imo. I recently completed Tomb Raider, Remember Me, The Bourne Conspiracy and Bodycount since the beginning of 2014, short games though.

Why the forums soo dead Q_Q

Maybe it's time to change the forums. I've been on reddit for a while, perhaps if we used something like that...

ITS A KITTY!!

Hoestly don't know why this place died out either. It used to be semi-active at one point for the past few anime seasons.

Wild guess there's not much to talk about this season I'm guessing.

In any case as for me getting more time working for my cousin over the past few days so that's a good thing to hear formy wallett though. Other then that possibly might of gotten a few hits on my job searching through a temp agency I went though. Hopefully something will come out of that though.

This, pretty much.

I've been dealing with family stuff, medical stuff, and work stuff. A few clients on the work side have been asking for custom wordpress templates while not actually knowing what they want their site to look like. I think I went through 16 or so different proofs, 2~4 at a time, before finally finding one the client liked, and I'm still having to go back and do tweaks and recodes of things in the css to make it play nice with some of the plugins, at the same time, they're also having me completely overhaul all of their print assets, and occasionally some business logistics.

The Family and medical stuff is more of the same ol', same ol'- no better, no worse.

I often end up wanting to comment on something, but don't want to risk distracting myself from the web work- and end up distracting myself anyway. I'll probably finish it all just in time for next season, and blow through my anime backlog then.

Next season looks really good, too.

I just don't watch as much anime as I used to, I've been using most of my spare time to go through my gaming backlog for my 360, which is about 300+ games. It's the reason my activity here at FTV hasn't been great for a while now. I guess the worst part is that I am a "completionist" at heart, so I'm actually a bit of an achievement-whore.

Also, I'm only following about 5 animes currently and I seriously want to add a few more but I find it incredibly hard to choose what I should watch and most of the time I just end up wasting my time because I end up not picking anything at all. Before, I would just watch because most of the time I was familiar with it's manga counter-part or I just wanted to watch something random. Like I really really want to watch Kill La Kill for the past few months but I just haven't.

Me too, i think i played Tales of Symphonia about 12 times back when i had a gamecube, the first 3 it was for completition then i did it to test every grade option and check all the endings, etc.

But when games like DMC 3 etc came out which had tons of achievements and took... so... many... hours to complete with 100%, and i had finished college..... I just gave up.

But theres a remedy for that. Let's play vids. I dont have the time to play through every ending anymore so i only do what i think is reasonable (finish a game once on the best ending or any ending) and then check the other endings.

@Topic, saving money for dark souls 2 and the second Tales of Xillia game (god curse inflation and my fu****g president), otherwise doing free mmos

Aside from keeping current from my anime, pretty much playing my Steam games now, and still waiting on my new laptop rig to come in the mail too. The up side would be that I have it as a gamer laptop with a 1TB driver that I want to say is a SSD of sorts. That and got the 8GB or memory to go with it too. I could of gone with 16GB of memory but I'm not sure if that much is needed though. Also, didn't go big on a video card, so I went with the stock choice for it since that was too costly.

I didn't go overboard with it, but at least it'll be functional of course. In acse you're wondering why I got a gamer laptop, well for two reasons actually. The first is trivial since I still cna have the full sized arrow keys so I could still play my Touhou games no problem here. The other reason is because I want to play my Steam games on my laptop, along with having something along the line of 900p graphics. It would of killed my wallet if I got the 1080p moitor though.

Aside from struggling to stay current, I've been in a frantic hunt for self-help stuff the last few weeks. In addition to all the business advice books I've been reading, one of the things I ended up reading was an old blog post on "Sick Systems - a guide to making people stay with you forever". It's like an ultimate case study on why people stay in abusive relationships with employers or family.

I didn't think much of the post at the time I read it, but yesterday and today I started just... venting to myself. No one else, just myself, angry things I would never say outside of my most trusted friends and even then I'd hesitate. A little while after I was done venting, I wrote a much tamer blog post, then afterwards something started going click and I finally started recognizing things around me that had been broken for years, kind of a really crazy multi-level sick system that some of those friends have been telling me about but I couldn't see because I was mired several layers deep in it.

I'm hoping I can fix some of them where possible, and just get away from the rest. Some of them have been shaping my life for a very long time.

I'm also getting ready to start packing, looks like we're heading back tuesday, so hopefully by friday I'll be home and starting to get settled back in. Additionally, since I got my insurance situation resolved shortly before leaving in April, when I get back I finally get to go see an orthopedic specialist for the first time in years! (Backstory: I injured my (dominant) right arm ten years ago... it never healed. Hurray, deep tendon injuries...

)

Ending on a really high point, the client website I was struggling with at the time I left to come down here I was able to finish up and launch at the tail end of April. A few minor follow up tasks here and there on it, but a successful launch is a successful launch!

yo! good to see you around posting again Norren ^^ last month i have enjoyed Marvel film sequels, early i saw ''Captain America Winter Soldier'' and in middle May it was ''the Amazing Spider-Man 2''... but specially ''X-Men: Days of Future Past'' on theaters last Saturday was a pleasant surprise for me, compared to all previous prequels and midquels (if only its 'Avengers animes' were that good)

I wrote the rant below but in hindsight, I think it makes me sound a little douchey....read at your own peril.

As for why the FTV forums died, honestly there were probably a lot of factors that contributed to it and it's unfortunate because this site was at it's peak between 2006-2007, it dwindled after 2007 as we went into 2008 as the anime seasons became less and less interesting, however, in recent seasons that has changed and the seasons are now populated with more anime that people generally would like to watch. Other factors included the wars between members of FTV. All that stuff didn't deter me at all but I can see why the community is getting even worse these days, I think there's like 6 active members that actually post stuff here these days.

I talked about the stuff above because I can also see why the site's attraction has gone down lately. I wasn't really around the past few seasons...so I really don't know what the state of the forums were then but I can probably guess that there wasn't a thread for every single anime that aired in the Winter 2013 season, well for at least the shows that weren't made for kids aged 6. However, this isn't any fault of ours, it's just we've lost a large portion of our community that can contribute, it's unfair on Necro to just rely on him to do all the work. Also the lack of threads also gives off the vibe that the community at FTV don't know jack, which is far from the truth, and that the site is amateurish, which is the vibe I got from this new site called Hummingbird, which looks nice but it's database is just terrible with only a limited number of anime entries....it's quite disappointing despite it's efforts to look "hip" and "trendy...wow, I'm using old man vocab.

I'm ranting because I came here to chat about One Week Friends (aka Isshuukan Friends) and yeah no thread available.
