Well I cannot agree. The fillers were the only things I did not like in their animating (however, some of them got me interested), the whole rest was pretty good and satisfying, no unnecessary hundreds of blood.
Compare the OVA to the 2 seasons, the mood has changed completely - from an adventure and love to a sad, grim travels with a brutal events. I'm not sure if it is what people like in animes. Obviously I like to watch battles, but those do not have to contain such scenes like eye chowing (uhm, seriously this was loathsome :s). The way BeeTrain were doing satisfied me at all.
I might have forgotten some arguments againt BeeTrain cause the last time I read this forum was when I registered there, but I don't remember mentioning anything despite the fillers and the violence level. Are those the reasons why you think so?

Haha sorry for the necro, but I'm quite excited to have found this forum after 16 years, let alone still have access to this account. I think this lil convo right here was likely my first ever input in an online anime discussion, and TRC was my 3rd ever anime that I'd seen.

It's amazing to find out that the kid me was disgusted by gore, did not understand why faithful manga adaptations are important and desired, or actually preferred lighthearted, cheerful adventure stories to "sad, grim travels with brutal events" (xD). It was such a funny read given how I'm on the complete opposite side these days - I'm into all sorts of dark fiction / psychological dramas, my favorites include Higurashi or Re:Zero, and I love when the tone of the show is bleak and there's a lot of tragedy and suffering going on.

Have no idea if there's still anyone around in the forums, but if the admins read it - thanks for not deleting the site, you made this discovery possible :)

Glad to see you are back. Yes Ando and Norren have done a lot of work to maintain the running of this website. It gets tricky to keep the lights on but hope to hear from yourself again and participate on other threads. There is Discord and Steam channel we hang around on. I go by the same handle on all them.
