Episode 7
After the events of episode sixes bombshell Sayuri; Tsurayuki’s fiancée decides to cook a nice meal for the gang. Tsurayuki is less than pleased dealing with this development.
But it would seem there is something else is brewing and I am not talking about the food…
Despite those unwanted distractions it is still business as usual with the doujin game.
For a change there is good news as Tsurayuki has made a breakthrough with the script and story. Nanako on the other hand has more doubts.
These matters are easily resolved however much to relief of Nanako who also uses this moment to “recharge” herself.
Kyoya checks how Aki is managing the art background and character design. Things look good on that front too…
Except for a certain eroge scene which triggers Aki into acting like an innocent lamb (she can’t be that dense, right?). Aki then pulls a move of her own. It is all for the sake of research! I promise!
Strange moves aside, the progress has been good and Kyoya presents the latest work to Eiko. She is pleased at the progress made but is stunned by the fact Tsurayuki would be willing to change his style of writing.
For reasons that are unclear Kyoya decides to spend time with Aki during Christmas Eve not realising what significance that could mean. I suppose everyman has a blind spot?
Blind spots aside, progress continues to go well running into the new year and the team fire up a test run of the game…
But old “problems” spring up on the Tsurayuki front…
Which makes Kyoya wonder about the other elephant in the room…
Nanako does question Kyoya about what he was doing all day in Aki’s room. It was just a photo shot Kyoya pleads but Nanako is less than convinced with that yarn…
Nanako throws a clear sighter that even the dense Kyoya cannot misinterpret. Just to make her point doubly clear so even a mole could see it she says that the breast move was intentional...
He finally fesses up to the problem with Eiko who scolds him but then advises that he should act coy about the whole thing UNTIL the project is done. At which point he should make his intentions clear…
Kyoya and Tsurayuki talk about the particulars for the climax of the game. I get the feeling Sayuri would prefer a climax of a different sort…
Sayuri makes a lunge but is quickly rebuffed by Tsurayuki…
This results in Sayuri no longer visiting and on a certain night Kyoya is dragged to the docks to answer an important question.
Sayuri is troubled and asks a number of questions the most pressing being Tsurayuki’s future and if this is really the best path for him…
Episode 8
It’s the final month and the team is now reaching crunch time!
Unfortunately the game is running behind on several fronts…
To get this game completed by the deadline he asks Nanako and Aki to make changes to the music and artwork which they agree to.
Tsurayuki agrees but is more reluctant in following the major script changes. I just feel a sense of foreboding as all the crew seem to be overly trusting in Kyoya’s leadership…
Kyoya tells Keiko about the remarkable progress made but Nanako seems to be rather anxious going into her recording session.
All that worrying was for nothing, as like the festival, Nanako manages to perform when it matters.
Kyoya looks at how the editing of the art is going when he gets a call from Aki.
She would like to add a key scene which would be a great addition but Kyoya turns down the plan all for the sake of getting this game completed by the final deadline. Crunch time can be brutal!
The deadline is looming and now it is the final stretch and it looks like most of the team will pass out any moment.
Kyoya asks Eiko to do some bug testing and considering the amount of stuff found she will have a hell of a time resolving this in the amount of time left…
Things aren’t looking as crashes and bugs are found by the truck load. Is this game really gonna be released in this state? It could be even buggier than Cyberpunk 2077 was on release day for the Playstation 4!
A master copy is finally made and promptly dispatched. The thought of sending this game released makes me kinda nervous…
Kyoya would like to celebrate for a job well done but the whole team is down for the count!
The game is out and the front cover girls are kinda cute…
But the acid test is getting the thing sold. Understandably Kyoya is nervous but Keiko reassures that all it takes for a good sale is for the cover girl to be cute enough...
Well what do I know! Looks like everything went off without a hitch. The team have a toast on their success.
But just as things seem to be progressing so nicely Tsurayuki asks if he can have a one-to-one talk with Kyoya when he drops an absolute bombshell!
Kyoya is absolutely stunned and when Keiko appears she offers some cryptic words which only reminds him of something Aki said…
Transported to another time Kyayo is greeted by a loli who claims to be his daddy?! What just happened?
