After all this time i decided to watch this series again. It wasn't a high flyer at the time but still it did have some good points. For example Kuesu was nice as a character and sometimes the story actually felt compelling. The biggest downfall came at the end like so many other series. It was rushed and failed to be exciting.
At the time of release the series had serious competition from other series who outmatched it easily as Kit-Tsukasa mentioned. At that moment the series would have gotten a 6 out of 10. Right now it felt a bit better as it actually had some rewatch value: 7 out of 10.
