Okurimono (é€ã‚Šç‰©ï¼‰
Looks like it's a type of spirit which follows somebody.
The only okurimono I know about is the okuri-inu(é€ã‚ŠçŠ¬).
It's a spirit dog (or a kind of japanese wolf) which follows the possesed person either to attack him if he falls, or to protect him from stray dogs.
There are also machi-inu or mukae-inu which walk before the possessed person.
A little cultural sidenote: there is an expression "okuri-ookami"(é€ã‚Šç‹¼ï¼‰ in today's Japan which means a man who escorts a woman home to make a pass on her.
