just tried ep.1 and so far its characters and plot aren't as good as Monogatari's, but I trust Shaft will do it more interesting like said series; Ex medium -PS 7/10

So, I use the site, random curiosity, a lot. So I kinda knew about it and I thought it would be a Vocaloid-centric anime. Yaya, told me to check this series because she said it will be something I like and she was spot on.

The show starts off weirdly but once we're introduced to Ene, it was smooth-sailing from then on for me, I've always loved the way SHAFT produce their anime, it's unique and captivating that have traits that are shared across their portfolio. The whole eye abilities reminds me of Tsukihime.

The ending song to the 1st episode, which I'm assuming is the OP is awesome.

Now critically, the story still has not be revealed to us yet and I'm assuming we'll get to know more in the next episode but right now, the anime seems to be a comedy mainly with Ene torturing her "master" as well as blackmailing. I read a little bit more about the series on MAL and I'm pretty interested in how this anime is going to play out.

Okay when I first watched the first episode I was starting to say man that's some kind of SHAFTyness there with the animation. I mean 'dat head tilt, need I say more.

In any case for some reason it looks like something of a Monogatari setup with the high quality animation, and head tilting. Although it looks like theres a tweek to it as well, but I get the feeling the quality will drop halfway through just to boost their DVD/BluRay sales here.

Watched the first episode even though I have a NO SHAFT policy. I instantly regretted it.

What I thought of the first episode

Not even Hidamaris??? Why would you do that to yourself?
I won't bother you with a long story so I'll just make this short.

I use to like SHAFT. Then they did Negima!? Swore off of them after that.

Well, I kind of get that, they definitely changed the expected product beyond the bounds of what fans might have expected, but still, I'd judge each show they don on their own merits.

On the subject of this show. That was a terrible first episode that had almost no hook to it at all to make you want to watch the second. Almost no hook except for Takane who hits just the right combination of cute and annoying (to the main character) for me. If I were to compare this to anything, though, it wouldn't be Monogatari, it would be Sasami-san@Ganbaranai due to the combination of hikikomori and WTF.

Pretty much with the way I took the first episoe it was, never venture outside since you'll end up dead. Heck it's kind of sad to see that he up and dies the first time he set foot out of his room in years here.

Although with this being SHAFT here I'd say it's like the Monogatari series due to massive head tilting, thear be talking heads haere, and of course the Sasami series for just being something along the line of a slow starter.

The head-tilting is prevalent in almost all their series right from "Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei".

The first episode wasn't amazing but it just oddly reminded me of Durarara. The whole having to leave his room/house reminded me of a short manga series, the Gantz author did a couple years ago.

Swore off of them after that.good point -.- I get what you guys mean back when I tried only the 1st episode of Sasami-san, telling by previous series Shinobu's_Lover liked I would suggest the ongoing Nisekoi (i only saw ep.1 too)... btw i picked Monogatari as example because is closer in style and the most popular Shaft series lately, just try ep.2 about the idol Momo to see what I mean (Shintaro looks and acts like Araragi)

Okay after watching the second episode, I'm getting this vibe that it's something for them to do before doing another season of the Monogatari series. I mean the way the episode goes it feels like what SHAFT is known for with the whole city baised buildings and whathaveyou inbetween scenes it feels like.

So now we got another potential canidate to join the group, but I'm still wondering about the NEET and his AI in the first episode here.

While I was enamored by this style initially when Bakemonogatari introduced me to it, at this point so much of Shinbo's stuff is beginning to feel the same visually. In so many of his shows he's constantly using the same techniques over and over and over and over again.

I guess he's going with the old saying of "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." with his art-style I take it.

Well with this episode it seems we finally got the whole cast together now. Not only that but to think that the idol chick is related to that NEET boy afterall. Now all that's left is to see if he's dead or not by next episode now.

Now that we can actually make sense of what happened in the first episode and things are coming together slightly the show is going from complete gobbeldy-gook to seeming like it might be kinda ok. All the different visual powers people have is kinda interesting.

I had pretty much figured that out based solely on the fact they both had the same family name, Kisaragi.

I knew it beforehand because I was checking out the character cast for this show before it aired.

Lol, don't take that seriously but yeah I kinda found out then. I haven't had a chance to watch the 2nd episode, might watch it today along with the 3rd one.

I haven't had a chance to watch the 2nd episode, might watch it today along with the 3rd one.usually i make sure that all main cast names and profiles are enlisted in the 1st post after all, anyway this story started to get interesting with a terrorist attack seen by different character perspectives... then ep'4 derailed what was going to happen which for me is the weirdest of this series so far, i guess Hibiya's power is clairvoyance by how Hiyori is going to die until his sacrifice (screw you cat)

Well with this episode I want to say it's something along th eline of Bakemonogatari meets Groundhog's Day with this very episode here.

Also, on a side note I am following the end story since it sounded rather interesting in a way. I kind of wonder if the loli of the main cast was here backstory, but to be honest it's just a wild guess of mine.
