^ ooh, I've actually heard of them before, I watched their cover of Chris Cornell's "You Know my Name", from Casino Royale. I guess I should check out their other stuff now, too.

EDIT: HOLY CRAP! These guys are awesome! Plus, they're Finnish! I'm not exactly sure why, but a large majority of my favorite bands are Finnish. Dang though, I'm gonna start listening to these guys now. Thanks for the reccomendation, b.o.w. !!!

I've been listening to Edguy off-and-on for a few years now, and they're always good to listen to. I usually listen to it when I'm running/cycling/any other activity where getting pumped-up is good. I really like their latest side-project, "Avantasia: The Scarecrow". They basically collect all the best power-metal musicians and singers, and make crazy-awesome music. This latest album is a departure from their regular style (which many of their fans really don't like), but I quite like it!

Lost in Space is a really good one, though it's more poppy than their usual power-metal sound.

...and Devil in the Belfry just freakin' rocks my socks off. I just went for a run earlier today, and was about to call it quits, but then this song came on, and I just couldn't help but put in another mile! It was awesome!

So if you're looking for some good, German power-metal, I would definitely recommend checking them out.

To all my fellow companions at FTV, I've known about this short animated music video by ACIDMAN and its actually considered as anime at MAL. PLEASE take a look at this incredibly beautiful piece of work: -

Its called SAI: Part 1 / Revolving... to the core by ACIDMAN.

Synopsis of Music Video: -

A bird flies through the snow eventually falling and dying into a forest of barren trees. Brightly colored flowers springs in its place and evolves into different forms.

An interpretive work on the music of the group Acidman described by the animator as a collaborative effort resulting in a 'musical image.'

Miku sounds sooooooooooo good.

The song sounds humble yet sensual in so many ways. The stupid racists of Nico and 2ch made the original uploader to remove the video from Nico. You can read more about this at an article on Sankaku Complex but for now I'm listening to this song...I think its my 4th time now.

Another YT video you guys should check out is this: -

Never knew she was able to sing in Chinese too, and so well (at least it sound like that to me...)

Anyway - WOW

P.S. though I did hear that some people even managed to make her sing even in Russian.. lol

QUOTE (Noshi @ May 21 2010, 10:48 PM) Some of my favorite songs of Nujabes (aka Seba Jun, known for Samurai Champloo songs)
You know that Nujabes actually DIED earlier this year, when I heard I was shocked and I remember reading he died in a traffic accident on ANN.

Lol yes I know, I think every person would've known the big news at one time for he was a great musician with a wide fanbase.

Ahhhh....this is it....brings me back to the old days.

Amanaguchi - Helix Nebula (they're an American band)

Its beautiful song to add to it, it seriously reminds me of my time with my Gameboy Pocket when I was really younger.....I think it was my first handheld console. I remember getting a Gameboy Classic after getting a Pocket.

Then there's one of the remixes for Coca-Cola to sponsor the FIFA World Cup 2010....Nancy is a MILF.

Just wanted to share this new awesome band I just found today...

Its a Japanese Band (but their songs are in english and a very good one at that though it wont matter
tongue.gif
)

They are a Hardcore, metal, electro sort of band so unless you're not into this stuff better stay away to prevent useless flaming

Its CrossFaith and here are some sample vids from Youtube

Fiction in Hope Official Music Vid

Stars Faded in Slowmotion

Blue Official Live Clip

Live at Gekki Rock Fes

They are still new prolly they just started around 2008 so they still have a few vids but that just how I fully like it I prefer underground bands than those in the mainstream (but I still listen to so already mainstream bands/singers though)

EDIT NOTE: They actually started in 2006 my bad here's their myspace page http://www.myspace.com/thecrossfaith

Lol the first video sounded soooo familiar, but from a different band I just can't remember which and which song XD I hate it when that happens >__>

Just out of curiosity what are all your music tastes like since i know we are all different so how would you all desribe your tastes in music?

For me even though i like multiple genres the main two (yes 2 but they dont frequently cross over so kinda counts as one) i find myslef in is Power Metal and Femme Metal (you know metal fronted with a female lead singer) i adore them just the pace and upbeat sound that the music gives, and just some of the epic masterpieces some bands produce and the concept albums are just breath taking Period
tongue.gif
I do listen to alot of stuff, OSTs, J-Rock, Anything Exit Trance do, Metal as a whole mainly though. I like my music and if anyone has any recommendations feel free
biggrin.gif

Some of my fav bands are:

Kamelot, cant wait for Poetry of the Poisoned to be released i mean thats another album which has Simone Simons as guest vocals, hell yeah that album will be brilliant! Hoping that for thier European tour 2011 they do another UK date since i was able to go back in March and adored them more so than normal
biggrin.gif
Highly recommend thier albums Epica and Karma (both my 2 fav dont get me wrong i like Ghost Opera and Black Halo but just really prefer the other 2, along with Fourth Legacy)

Epica, asweoms esound and the flow of growly male female vocals to Simones heavenly like voice is just so beautiful, having her sign my Consign to Oblivion and shaking her hand made me nervous, i mean her hair! Its bloody radient, especialy when live
biggrin.gif
Oh and the music is nice, maybe upon your prefence not as good as (old) Nightwish or Lacuna Coil but comes down to preference i suppose.

Symphony X, first band that introduced me to any form of metal, thier album tThe Odyssey is just stunning, the title track in particualr being a 24min epic, seriously. Maybe even better than Divine Wings of Tragedy. Highy recommend anyone who fancys power metal are some thing upbeat combined with a few solid concept albums give them a try.

Van Canto, jsut for the sheer orgionality of this awesome band they have to get a mention, its a lead female and male vocalist, 3 'rakkatakka' vocalists and a drummer, seriously they are just awesome, they get the 'rakkatakka' vocalists to impersonate the sounds of a guitar and bass. I know it sound wacky to some of you, but seriously it goes so well, i mean brilliantly well, a few loyalists think that their covers of Metallicas Battery and Master of Puppets, Maidens Fear of the Dark or Nightwish' Wishmaster are a sin, but credit to the band for trying to be striahgt up orgional with their covers, seriously just give them a try.

A few more notible mentions would be Helloween, Sabaton, Alestorm, Emerald Mind, Nightwish (old)
biggrin.gif

Btw if anyone has a Last.fm account feel free to add me, im Hiasubi over thier too

The disbanded LUNA SEA decided to go on a worldwide tour after the succesful One day deja-vu reunion on Christmas eve in 2007 Japan.

I myself am very very thrilled about this news. Although I'm from the Netherlands, I'm most likely to go to the Bochum show.. I've been thinking of going to the one in Japan (if I'm still able to go this year

) but 9000 yen was just a bit too much even though it's in Tokyo Dome

I'm just happy they finally decided to grace their overseas fans with a concert

HELLZ YEAH! I've been listening to "The Great Pandemonium" pretty much non-stop these past two days since they released the music video for it! *sigh*, I don't get the new album 'till later this month though.

Oh! And I'm really excited for Apocalyptica's "7th" symphony to come it (I'm getting it same time as PftP). I'm really turning a new leaf here and waiting for my pre-ordered albums to come in, instead of listening to them online. It's killer turning away from the google-machine when I know I could have both albums in just a few minutes... but it'll sound all the better when the albums arrive in my mailbox.
smile.gif

Way to have good taste in music, Hia-man! *hi-five* I'm definitely a big power-metal fan myself. I like listening to Edguy, the Avantasia side-project, a little bit of Rhapsody, or Blind Guardian if I'm feeling particularly geeky.

Ayreon though, now THAT'S some good music. When I first heard their albums "The Human Equation" and "Into the Electric Castle", I didn't really get them, after 2 or 3 full listens though, I got hooked! I highly recommend it if you're into bombastic rock-opera.

anyone know any Japanese music site that you can follow the latest music? eg music weekly music chart and stuff. can be both japanese and english.
