QUOTE (NecroRyu @ Oct 04 2014, 01:47 PM) personally now that I saw #0 I have high expectations, like how they'll animate the VN content omitted by studio Deen... also what'll be the new stuff to link its prequel F/z, or any changes about Rin and Sakura's complicated relationship

Sakura Rin stuff won't be touched in this'. That will be in HF route that will be adapted into movies.

This adheres to same reading order as VN, so it assumes you have not seen FZ and know nothing what happened in there. The "links to Zero" are no different from the ones in VN - unintrusive subtle stuff that has no effect on plot.

Well finally we get to see the prologue episode that actually shows the opening scenes of the Grail War here. Pretty much this more or less explains as to why Tohsaka is such a tsundere along with how bossy she can be at times too. Not only that but you can kind of tell that she does somewhat look after Sakura, but only to ensure that she's doing okay of course and nothing deeper then that.

As for the HF stuff I look forward to seeing that movie as well.

QUOTE (Masich @ Oct 04 2014, 03:34 PM) This was my first time watching anything from Fate/stay night and... well after having seen the first episode of Unlimited Blade Works.. I'm suddenly interested in watching the other season + movie. I got no final comment or judgement, But, I do admit starting to look all
around the 35th minute.
My suggestion would be ignore the Fate Stay Night Unlimited Blade Works movie entirely, as it is extremely rushed andjumping from one scene to the next so quickly, that doesn't even have time for character development. This current series would be a far more complete version of for the Unlimited Blade Works story than the movie.

You could watch Fate/Zero, but I would suggest you finish watching this series first, as originally Fate/Zero's story is supposed to be a prequel for the Fate Stay Night story, in a way that is actually better to watch after you watch the Fate Stay Night first.

Of the heroines of Fate Stay Night, I actually like Rin more than Saber even back on the Fate route story. She's one of my favourite tsundere, and watching episode 0 made loled at how many times Archer's GAAARRRness made her being dere so many times...I was thinking that between the tsun and dere, the scale is seriously tipping toward the dere dere side

He's what dreamboats are made of since he is just drop dead anime gorgeous. Those arms! That chest! That voice. That hair!

Come to think of it...Rin-chan's Papa was not bad either.

I have always liked her the best too. She is smart, feisty, no holds barred cute, and ballsy to boot.

REJOICE. For you'll have your Rin Route animated for this series.

In any case I have to say I want a Mitsuzuri Route, or heck even a Fuji-nee route since she is very lovely this time around. For some reason Fuji-nee is going to hang around a bit more than normal this time I do believe. Although I kind of wonder if they are going to do the VN style for the UBW storyline, or do a VN manga hybrid since that one somehow seems a bit more intriguing if you ask me.

Aside from that I'm going to watch this and wait patiently for my Moe Moe Sakura Route movie to be done now. Also, of course having high hopes to see if they will ever do F/HA because all 3 Routes will be animated in some way shape or form now.

26 Episodes for FHA

And yeah. I expect Fate route movies, at least. Two would be enough.

i agree that 26 eps would be more than enough to adapt F/HA, but i'm not sure if a couple of films would cover HF... maybe a trilogy? as long as it's not rushed in a single movie, well ep'2 was the calm before the storm that Basaka will do

Okay so now we had the graveyard battle, but this was much better than what was done in the VN. Although I noticed that this time around Illya actually is using Iri-chan's attack this time around too. It makes me wonder if this was one of those subtle things that showed it's something you'd pick up after watching Fate/Zero here.

well I think it's a nice touch that Illya can attack on her own, without relying on Basaka always unlike Deen's adaptation... about ep.4 it seems waifu Caster will debut soon, now that Saber met her husbando and Rin beat some of her pets

Well Illya was known not to use magic at all in the VN originally, but at the same time I have to give them props for having her inherit Iri's magic ability here. Although I get this feeling that what would of happened if they did Fate/Zero as a sound novel or something before doing Fate/stay night. So in other words this probably would of been a thing in the first place.

actually there are F/Z drama CDs bundled with BR boxsets, maybe they explain how Ilya inherited Iri's Magic crest... well Rin told Shiro about hers in ep.5 after ceasing to kill him, to fight smexy Rider instead so by the PV Assassin is next

Well now we got to the Rin vs Shirou to Shiro vs Rider episode here. The up side is Shirou can handle himself to an extent until he gets a bit too cocky for his own good though. Also, yes we are going to have the Tohsaka-Emiya Alliance from here on out, and also I expect there to be some ShirouxGARcher moments eventually. I mean that's who UBW tends to focus on, or at least the VN did.

indeed so far this remake is following the UBW route closer than the movie, but also adding a few scenes to fit from F/Z... like in ep'6 after GArcher escorts and chats Shirou, not only the so'called Assassin but waifu Caster appeared too

Yes with House Wife Caster showing up that only means one thing. She's most likely gong to do anything to get Saber Lilly out of all of this I take it.

So the next episode is the GARcher v Caster battle, and the Saber v Assassin battle which I'm now looking forward to seeing now.

lol now that i remember Caster's antics in Carnival Phantasm, i wonder if studio Lerche will release more OVAs after years... epic ep.7 in both fights but while she tells Shirou and Archer 'are the same', I was like "shh no spoilers!"

so poor smexy Rider already died in ep.8 without using Noble Phantasm, unlike Deen's route but I guess she'll get more screentime in Heaven's Feel film(s?)... same with Sakura, whose relationship with Rin was about to revealed in ep.9

So I guess they are going to make UBW into a 2-part 12 episode series I take it. Although I have to admit that I'm hoping to see Caster as Housewife Caster for at least a moment or two sometime later on in this series. I mean she is the most mature and smexy magus in the series by far of course.

I concur more waifu Caster please ^^ 2nd cour is announced, it'll be aired until spring like was done in F/Z 3 years ago... but it'll be 26 eps in total instead (#0 included), so with ep.11 PV Gilgamesh and Shinji will tag along (for a while)
