Lol! I still have my multi-purpose server:

2,8Ghz Celeron
1,5GB Kongston RAM
Plextor DVD burner
NU DVD/CD-RW
Creative Audigy 2 ZX
Geforce 4 MX 440 with 128 megs of ram (No use - No graf. interface at server, only remote shell)
350W Chieftec PSU
160GB + 300GB +300GB + 320GB

That's a tetrabyte worth of stuff my friend. I wish I had that kind of space. I only have around 60 GB left >_< I need a new external, but they're so expensive

You think thats bad? I only have like 3 gigs left and I dont even waste space on saving anime after I watch it.
I just got a "new" laptop also, but I think I broke it. The battery wont charge all of a sudden so I cant turn it on. The last one I had just got a new hard drive, 80 gigs plus the old one could have been used as a external also

Well anyway heres my new comp-

Intel Core 2 Duo 1.83 GHz
1GB ram
X800GTO
DVD/CD-RW samsung
160 GB hard drive
LG 19inch wide screen/5ms refresh rate
Intel DP965LT mother board - dont know why im missing some settings in the bios which means no overclocking for me
sad.gif
. But then again intel motherboards aren't known for overclocking.

YAY~ I'm adding some new components to a computer, so it'll lbe a bit fast now.

Specs:

Intel Core 2 Duo 1.83 GHz
1.5gb DDR2 Kongston RAM
Geforce 4 MX 440
DVD/CD-RW Sony Combo
DVD-RW Drive
300GB HDD + 150GB HDD
17-in. Widescreen

Still deciding on the motherboard. Two offers, but not sure what to get (yet.) I know my choices.

if u plan on overclocking, never get intel boards. Asus boards are the best for overclocking but they are somewhat expensive...

I over clocked my 3.2ghz and it burnt down to ashes... used it for two frigging days... only two frigging days... i'm just waiting for the new windows to come out and then buy a new system.

arent you guys burning your anime anime on dvd? I like to keep my disk fairly clean. 60GB is just fine.

I keep mine mainly on my external HDD. My comp is a little weak, but I'll be getting a new system soon!

Current specs:

Sempron 2800+
1.5 GB DDR-400 Corsair RAM
Radeon 9550SE 128MB
Philips DVD writer
2 x 120GB Maxtor HDD
350W PSU
17" Viewsonic TFT

Expected specs (in a couple of weeks):
Athlon 64 X2 4200+
1GB OCZ RAM
256MB 1950 PRO
Sony DVD writer
2 x 250GB Seagate HDD
450W PSU
24" HP widescreen

More space for anime! Yay!

Too bad my motherboard can't read anything above 120GB. Guess I have to wait for my next overhaul upgrade, probably in 1-2yrs time.

P4 generation boards should not be limited by the 120Gb limitation. Make sure you have the latest BIOS.

let's see, my current desktop:
MB: Epox EP-8RDA3+ (nForce 2 Ultra 400, on-board: sound, 2xLAN, + many other thingies)
CPU: AMD Athlon (Barton) 2500+ @ 1800MHz (though it's currently working at 2200 MHz)
Video: Club 3D Ati 9600 (no SE, no Pro, no XT, nada, simple, 128MB, 128 bits)
Memory: 2x512 MB Geil Value (timings 2.5, 4, 4, 8; dual channel activated)
HDD: 2x120 WD SATA 8 MB buffer in RAID Mode 0 (stripping, not mirror)
1x250GB WD IDE 8MB buffer (where all those animes rest

)
DVD: Plextor PX-712A: 12xDVD Single Layer
PowerSupply: Thermaltake 430W True Power (don't know the exact name

And there you have it. Its not much, I slapped it together 6 months ago for about a grand.

A grand? you can't get anything with that in canada.

Doesn't mean the parts are that much, now does it?

That's a lot of network drives, btw.

The parts all added up. It was all the wife would let me spend.

The network machine is a Sempron64 3800+ with a gig of DDR and as many SATA controllers I could cram in there. Currently I have over 2TB of 400GB Samsung drives. Since I swear by Samsung HDD's as being the least expensive, most durable, quietest, most reliable drives ever.
