Claymore (manga)

“In a world where monsters called Yoma prey on humans and live among them in disguise, humanity’s only hope is a new breed of warrior known as Claymores. Half human, half monster, these silver-eyed slayers possess supernatural strength, but are condemned to fight their savage impulses or lose their humanity completely.”
There will be an animated TV-series airing in April this year. The Manga is an ongoing series which is released in the monthly Shonen magazine, in Japan it's up to chapter 69 which is the end of Vol12. I loved this manga because it's really fast-paced with no filler chapters and it's one of the best sword action manga out there without alot of talking.

The story seems interesting and the action in it is amazing. They do a very good job with it. I only read the first Vol but my favorite fight scene was when a Yoma tried to swipe at her from behind, but Clare just ducks under it and moves the sword in the way so the Yoma actually chops his own arm off.

But I'm not a fan of the artwork. I think the people look a bit retarded looking and it annoys me to look at them.

My friend bought this title based on its cover design and she also hated the artwork. She said it took away from the story too much to continue reading it (I think she ended up giving away the volume she bought ...)

There are currently six volumes of this series released by Viz, by the way ...

I think people would either love it or hate it, the artwork might be a little different from the typical shouen manga where people have crazy hair styles and big eyes....but the story of this manga is really good and it's really worth the time and money to read it.

Although I've never bought the manga, I have however read it, I don't really mind the artwork and I can't wait for the anime to start airing......all I'm gonna say is that its gonna be awesome and extremely depressing...I really mean it, its depressing to see what eventual events happen......its a war that just literally began and is far from ending.

well, clare won't send any black card, the story gets quite complicated later on, currently up to chap 71, clare will be with a group of claymore who rebel against their original organization, and clare's ability is quite strong now, compare to her first appearance as #47(there were only 47 claymore), now i consider her power to be number 3 or above since #1&2 are the "strongest"(that's what the organization said) in history.

Well... I don't think it's possible for him to get stronger as a human, but it's possible that Isely may make him into a male claymore. (THAT WOULD BE AWESOME!!!) But currently it's interesting to see the relationship between Miata and Clarice. Since Clarice only count as a half-claymore she still have alot of human emotions compared to other Claymores, which makes her a good mother figure to Miata... It's funny that all if not most Claymores seem to have a dark past like murdered families or etc.

Claymore is licensed and therefore, we can not provide links to where you could download the Claymore scanlations that are currently up to Volume 13 Chapter 73.............ahhhhhhhh, I really hope chapter 74 comes out soon.

Question/Idea. Does anybody think the Organization has ever made a Claymore using the flesh and blood of an awakened being? If they did wouldn't it probably created a stronger than average Claymore? I do not recall ever reading about them doing it and it seems like something they would try.

but clare doesnt retain her haircolour, right? when she was a kid, she had light brown hair, now she is peroxide blond!!!

Any idea when chapter 74 will be released...a month I guess...as it already been published ???

I know that its serialized in a monthly manga magazine...I'm not sure if chapter 73 was this month's issue or last month's...and when is it released in Japan...like what date of every month.

Also, in each monthly issue...how many chapters are put in it...just 1 or 2 or even 3 ???
