So as promised, the annual poll will now be divided into 5 rounds, 4 of which will be based on each individual season. Only those that rank the highest in their respective season will progress to the annual voting, which is the "fifth round"
Rules and Guidelines
1) With the exception of the OVA/movie category, only shows that are full length TV shows will be counted. I have compiled a sizable list below. If you don't see a title on there, PM me to check the validity of the entry.
2) Any show that was shown throughout the Fall 2010 season AND is complete will be eligible for vote. This will include Heartcatch Precure despite ending last week and because of the unique schedule that the Precure franchise premiers.
3) For OP/ED sequences, you can put down the series title's and OP/ED number. Please be accurate otherwise I may miscount your vote. For series with OP themes that use the same song, it will be counted as the same "sequence" for simplicity (e.g. Ore no Imouto).
4) No more than 3 entries per category. You may put less. Each slot will be considered equal weight so that no one series will win by a massive spam of Rank #1
5) In order for your vote to be considered valid, you MUST have at least a cumulative of 4 distinct titles AND 5 of the 11 categories must be filled to completion. I may change the number depending on what I see. Anyone seen to simply meet this requirements and then "stuffing" votes thereafter will have their vote disqualified without notification.
6) For Best Character, use names of the character and the title of the series from which they are from. The character MUST be recurring to the extent that they don't just show up for 5 minutes and leave. If they are there for the entire episode, then fine. Do not list the family name of a character as this may result in confusion with another character

1) How do I know what OVAs, movies, TV shows are eligible?
I have compiled a list for most of the TV series that finished and are eligible. Unfortunately, the movie/OVA one is not as elaborate. If you don't know if it's eligible, PM me.
2) What about ongoing shows like Naruto, Bleach, Fairy Tail, Dragon Ball Kai, Pokemon, and One Piece?
These will not be considered until they completely finish. Naruto is considered separate from Naruto Shippuuden so the original Naruto series would have qualified for whenever it finished.
3) OMG you don't have *Insert anime title here*! *Insert anime title here* should be #1 in every category! I'm going to put it down until you and everyone here agrees.

4) You forgot to list something. Can I still put a vote in for it?
Any show that I or you are unsure of finished airing, I will search for it. If it does indeed qualify, I will add it to the list. I do ask, however, that you make sure that the show is not just listed under a different name. Again, PM me any possible doubts.
5) Why is there no ***** category?
I already had to narrow the list down from about 25 categories. As you may notice in the category descriptions below, some are trial categories for this year.
6) Why aren't Winter 2010/11 shows counted?
Because they're still ongoing. And this is a poll for Fall 2010 shows....
7) Why aren't shows like To Aru Majutsu no Index II up for vote? They're also Fall 2010 right?
The show must be COMPLETE. It's pointless to vote a show that isn't complete especially when there is still a risk of train wrecking at some point. Preliminary voting skews the actual results.
8) Why is there a 2010 season for the 2011 poll?
It's a timing issue based on how Japan airs its series. The point is to make the final poll in December.
9) The series I want to vote for ended in mid-January/Early February. Is this valid?
First, check the list. If it's not there, ask me. There are some exceptions to the whole "prior to ending Winter 2010/11" rule since some series start later in a season than others, but technically still ends "prior to the season"
10) Why is Ore no Imouto eligible? Doesn't it still have 4 episodes?
Ore no Imouto's remaining 4 episodes will be treated as a 4 episode OVA and put in a future poll despite being directly related to the series.
11) What if I have a specific question that hasn't been answered?

Categories and Descriptions
- Best OP Sequence - This vote s for the best opening sequence (video, animation, music, etc...) of a series. If a series has multiple opening sequences (i.e. uses a different song), then please be specific.
- Best ED Sequence - like the Best OP Sequence category except it applies only to ED themes. Inserts are not allowed. Yosuga no Sora's ED theme is an exception as it is technically two ED themes in each episode.
- Best Sound - a very broad category rating the background music, the "proper" casting of the voice cast, sound effects, etc...
- Best Art and Animation - Art and Animation has been lumped since very few usually differentiate between the two despite seeming so easy. This will be votes for shows with the best animation quality from the studio and the best art work/style.
- Best Plot - Shows with the best overall plot. The story could be based off a traditional formula or one that is original and/or unique. Self-explanatory...I hope
- Most Enjoyable - Could be a guilty pleasure or a show that you laughed all the way through or a show that you enjoyed the serious drama throughout.
- Most Underrated - A new trail category. This category only applies to a select few titles. Anything "mainstream" will not be eligible (see below). This category is for the title that you personally don't see people talking about all that much or is generally judged by its cover as a "bad show" when you think it is actually better than people gave it credit for.
- Biggest Surprise - Another new trial category. The category is a double-edged sword. Biggest surprise applies to shows that turned out to be very good or bad based on preliminary expectations.
- Best Character - This is a trial category for this year. Obviously, this will be voting for the best character (use names).
- Best OVA/Movie - As the category implies, this will be the vote for the best movie or OVA that was available to be bought in stores during the season.
- Best Show - As the category implies, this will be the vote for the best show of the season/year.
