So after some massive epic failing with the individual season polls, looks like this year it will come down to another "all at once" poll.
With the end of the year approaching, it's time to decide which series truly deserves the title for Best 2010 anime. Due to the different release schedules of OVAs and movies, they will not be considered as part of this poll. Sorry for those who were interested in voting for Black Rock Shooter. Katanagatari and Bakemonogatari will remain as exceptions to this rule.
Here are this year's categories:

I have removed Best Character Development since it seems that many people cannot differentiate between character development and plot and thus they are essentially one category. And so, the categories are essentially as broad as they can be. Specific genres have also been removed since people cannot seem to differentiate stuff like Mystery, Comedy, and Action for some reason
The way this will work is, each category gets up to 5 picks. You may not repeat a vote in the same category. Also, shows with a gap between seasons (e.g. Hakuoki Shinsengumi Kitan and Hakuoki Hekketsu-roku or Asura Cryin and Asura Cryin' 2) are considered 2 separate shows. The top 3 in each category will go to a final poll that will take place during the week of New Years.
Additional Rules
1) Only shows that are full length TV shows will be counted. I have compiled a sizable list below. If you don't see a title on there, PM me to check the validity of the entry.
2) With the exception of Katanagatari, any show that ended between Fall 2009 and prior to the Fall 2010 season are valid entries. Titles such as Yosuga no Sora, Shiki, To Aru Majutsu no Index II are NOT valid. These titles are ongoing and it would not be fair for these entries to be submitted without proper completion. Hakuoki Hekketsu-Roku, although completed, will also remain invalid.
3) For OP/ED themes, you can put down the series title's and OP/ED number. Please be accurate otherwise I may miscount your vote.
4) No more than 5 entries per category. You may put less. Each slot will be considered equal weight so that no one series will win by a massive spam of Rank #1
FAQ
1) Why aren't OVAs/movies/ONA/OAD/specials/etc... considered?
Due to the irregular airing pattern of these types of shows, it makes it difficult to provide fair competition, especially if an OVA decides to span over the course of several years (e.g. Legend of the Galactic Heroes and Mobile Suit Gundam 08th MS Team). People forget this series or it could be vice versa. I may consider doing one specifically for OVAs and movies in the long-run, but not right now.
2) What about shows like Hetalia?
Shows like Hetalia and Yutori-chan will be considered exceptions as they follow a regular airing pattern despite airing for a shorter time frame. Hetalia Fourth Season is treated as part of Hetalia World Series and thus invalid. Hetalia World Series is considered ongoing while Hetalia Axis Powers is considered "finished".
3) Where will shows like Bakemonogatari fall? It took a year to finish!
Bakemonogatari finished prior to the start of Summer 2010, so it is valid for this year.
4) What about ongoing shows like Naruto, Bleach, Fairy Tail, Dragon Ball Kai, Pokemon, and One Piece?
These will not be considered until they completely finish. Naruto is considered separate from Naruto Shippuuden so the original Naruto series would have qualified for whenever it finished. Pokemon/Pocket Monsters Diamond and Pearl is considered complete as of September 2010 and thus valid for entry this year. Pokemon/Pocket Monster Best Wishes is not valid. Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's is separate from Duel Monsters and GX; neither are valid this year however.
5) OMG you don't have *Insert anime title here*! *Insert anime title here* should be #1 in every category! I'm going to put it down until you and everyone here agrees.
Welcome to the world of anime. Such and such anime is not the only good anime out there. It takes more effort for one to rewrite a post multiple times than for me or any other mod to delete it, so stop wasting your time with useless posts.
6) You forgot to list something on the lists. Can I still put a vote in for it?
Any show that I or you are unsure of finished airing, I will search for it. If it does indeed qualify, I will add it to the list. I do ask, however, that you make sure that the show is not just listed under a different name. Again, PM me any possible doubts.

Because FTV League takes care of that and do you have any idea how many ties there would be?

Yes, but that would mean I would have to push this back a month or two. When I start implementing season votes instead of annual votes, this will make (hopefully) more sense.

First, check the list. If it's not there, ask me. There are some exceptions to the whole "prior to ending Fall 2010" rule since some series start later in a season than others, but technically still end "prior to the season"
