Hihi Senpai-kun, I started watching this anime sometime, about last year and stopped watching it, when I just decided to stop watching Bleach and Naruto. I actually completely forgot about this anime even though I watched up to episode 18. So this is what happened today, I was checking my anime folder and I came across it and remembed, that I still haven't finished it yet, one thing that I still remembered that it was good at the time. So I left Hataraki Man 05 download and continue to watch the 6 remaining episodes and said damn this was "good".

Ok, theres an OVA, where do you get it, onegai ?

I know the movie will be out in April but in Japan will it go straight to DVD or would be released first in cinemas. Apparently, the movie is meant to be a kinda remake of the first few episodes of the anime.

I think there should be a second season to this anime, the ending is so open-ending, all the "baddies" are still there and the manga is still going on.

Ok, this all started off with a light novel series that goes up to 15 volumes and now the manga has 2 volumes currently.

Hopefully there is an announcement for a second season, after the movie is released.

I think you're right about a secon season, the ending was left way to open. Although there's more than enough room for a second season and you are probably right about them announcing a season 2 after seeing the sucess of their film.

I can somehow feel they won't do another one and leave it a bit like FSN. I wonder if they do release season 2 will Shana give Yuji the Blutsauger, (that really big sword) seeing as he held it with ease and his classmates couldn't even lift it up well.

No there is no OVA yet (if you don't count that hot spring special as one). Juhachi only said he'll be happy with just OVAs until 2nd season is announced...I think JCDRANZER-san has misunderstood what he said and thought there is an OVA out there already.

The hot spring special is considered an ova, and that was me saying that i would be happy with another OVA or two before they announce a second season.

JCDRANZER You can get the OVA at probably the usual suspects like mininova or tokyotosho...And yes this was absolutely my favorite anime last of last year...At one point you can say i was obsessed with it lol but i just love the storyline and characters...This is one of my top 5 animes of all time...and I believe that we will get a season 2...The anime went over awesome in Japan and the novels sold in the millions (I read that somewhere I found it hard to believe at first but hey love for Shana is always good thing) maybe announced sometime after the movie hopefully...it will be the equivalent for me as waiting for Naruto Shippuden...

No, the hot spring episode was an OVA, and it was great to see Shana again, but as I've said before, the hot spring OVA formula is overused way too much in anime OVAs so it gets tiring after a while. And anyway, I said that in the OtoBoku article, not this one; are you stalking me Marine?

The light novel series is still going on; the 16th volume will be out soon. The manga is still unfinished and still no announcement for a second season. Movie will go to theaters and then later to DVD. That's the jist of it.

Though I admittedly have no basis for this, the odds of another season seem good in my opinion. Currently there's the movie coming and 2 video games (in Japan, not US). PLus, both the light novels and the manga have already been licensed for english. And not too many light novels are licensed, so all this is a good sign of its popularity. Plus, the first season covered 8 novels (I think) and when novel 16 comes out, that makes 8 more available. So even though I'm just guessing, it seems pretty possible for maybe early '08 or so.

Though the price wasn't bad.....but the shipmaent cost just the same as the book itself......Is it come from a store at Japan,sempai...? Besides,I remember you posting about this in....uh........Nanatsuiro Drops thread..?
Anyway,about the pages..... i think it would be the same standard as other ilustration book....I guess...?Maybe that's the guideline for them...?
*I've seen a FSN's ilustration book once(US$9.99),but I don't money to buy it that time(because I bought some DvDs at the time...)...and that's the last time I ever saw it.... ...Damn it! I really agonize over this........

I found another auction of it on eBay here and it says that the book is 14 pages only. Doesn't really seem worth it to me...:/

I myself have an Air artbook and a Mikiyo Tsuda artbook, though both of them are at home (I'm away at college ). I remember each one having a good amount of pages in them to keep me well enjoyed through both books and I too want to buy a Noizi Ito artbook, such as that one up there, but perhaps one with more pages...

Indeed...like Juhachi-sempai said,14 pages doesn't seem worth it,Marine-sempai. Especially when the shipping cost have double you the cost...but it's really up to you.The money is yours after all sempai. (Otakus doesn't thinks a lot when it comes to their hobbies! )
Shana-chan's movie...I can't wait for it...(I......really hope there'll be no kissing scene between Shana-chan and that Sakai Yuuji........... )

I'm just downloading "shakugan no shana special" by Eclipse fansubs with a size of 235.67MB via animesuki, I'm not sure if this is just the Hot Spring Specials or those other specials, hopefully its all of them.

Can't wait for the Shakugan no Shana movie!!!

on the note of the dvds...they did release that special one of where chibi friagne was teaching Mariann about torches and flamehazes lol forgot the name of it. Waiting for vol.4 atm and hopefully they do pick up the shana-tan/hecate-tan ones. I wonder how english-chibi shana would sound? though it probably wouldn't be as great as the original japanese one ^^;

Just watched the hot spring special, this anime should live on, its great. Only got to find where to get those other specials, are they also 25 minutes episodes or less than that ???????

I'm positive that there will be a second season announced after the movie, hopefully for the fall of 2007 or early 2008.

This anime is just oozing with the "aura of greatnes"!

Only that the movie is coming in April 2007, same time Otome wa Boku ni Kshiteru will be out in Japan on DVD.

JCDRANZER yes I couldn't be more pleased that a NBP team memeber has converted into a Shana fan. Just more people who believe that there will be more seasons of Shana to come. I so wish that this would become an anime the likes of Bleach and Naruto. With the story, animation quality, and music being so excellent it has franchise potential written all over it.
