it's not over yet ;p is 2 arcs like Danganronpa 3, but MC respawns ala Re:zero
Guess I wanted more, but more wasn't setup beforehand, so it's to be expected... but the potential was there.

well Now S2 title makes sense with the moon as Earth's replica in ep.16, then i guess 'side-Terra' will start tomorrow... still 'I want to meet you someday' was more simple completing Kagari's theory, than 3 cups 0f coffee for her trust
A new season of Rewrite could be interesting, as it was the main ingredient in the plot of S1 anyway.... everything repeats over and over until....? Same is said to be the case with our planet, it's all a school for greater self-conscious awareness.. thus the religious/philosophical traditions within most Eastern 'religions'... Hinduism... updated and cleaned up with the Buddha's teachings, and in the Punjab with the Sikhs... same with Taoism in China... in the West, you have to go to esoteric teachings in Chistianity... like M and G... etc. THe cosmos as school and there are set 'terms' to life here.... etc... cyclical time.. . versus the linear version we have been taught here in the West.... to better control the herd/sheeple. You can find a lot of this stuff touched upon in anime, but barely, mostly as a background worldview situation, as it seems most of the creators don't know the traditions themselves... just a vehicle for their stories.
A redo or S2 could be like the 'rewrite' in Narnia, at least in that one book about how all the critters etc went into some 'cave'? led by the Lion as creator... and the world started all over again... like the symbolism of Noah's Ark etc etc...
Could be interesting if the writers are up to the task... even if they just show the small changes... which can be along the lines of the 'butterfly affect'... 'thousand monkey effect'... etc... leading to basic critical point analysis.... all depends upon those small choices in our individual and collective lives.

Based on a visual novel... and from a review i read on ANN? perhaps it was about the first ep or something... there are many plotlines that diverge and/or converge in the novel? Something like that.... interesting short review of the first ep or two I guess. Ok.... reading the Wikipedia entry now.... one of those role play gameconsole platform things.... multiple vectors etc.... and whenever an anime is made from them, they have to unite or converge the multiple vectors... which is always a challenge, and always has 'issues', but Key is rather good with these... usually. Hmmm... so the question is how many vectors or paths did the first series cover if the second series is said to follow 2 others? Maybe it's best I don't know? Not a game player anyway, and these all follow a certain methodology.... anyone play the game and knows the answer?

i don't yet (Hiasubi started this topic :/ maybe he can answer), about questions as Koutaro joins Guardian in ep.18... is this arc prequel meeting a younger cast or reboot, before Kotori becomes a Druid to clone him and her dead parents?

Ok.... I don't do the Visual novels or games... so i looked it up on Wikipedia.... now I see what you mean... the different vectors or arcs that can be taken,.... and the anime team have to decide how to combine them or choose which will be the main one etc... this has good and bad aspects from past Key works... they are good at setting up the characters, but some of this multicombining of arcs is a wee bit awkward at times... but they have to do some of it to satisfy fans... different arcs for different fan bases it seems... bound to upset some of them with any choice.
So, I'll have to catch up on this before starting a new older series from my list. That Tiger&Bunny was a fun find.
This 'Rewrite' or reset is similar to the cosmos... said to operate in cycles and said to 'reset' or 'rewrite' rather soon... thus my interest.
How many arcs are there in this Visual Novel? Is that an indication of the number of cours? THe WIkipedia page implies 24 eps... Ok... I see 8 main plot lines... 3 major and then 5 more show up later as possibilities...
After the plot lines for these five heroines have been completed, an additional scenario called Moon is made available. Upon the completion of the Moon route, another scenario called Terra is made available, which serves as the true conclusion to the story; both Moon and Terra revolve around the main heroine, Kagari.
Kagari, the main heroine of Rewrite, has the power to initiate a period of re-evolution, which restarts the process of evolving another means of intelligent life. However, this is done with the use of the Earth's energy, and by the time the events of Rewrite occur, there is no more energy left to do another re-evolution. Gaia wants to capture Kagari to ensure the destruction of humanity, but Guardian wishes to seek out Kagari to kill her, ensuring that human life continues.[...] Kazamatsuri is partly destroyed when Gaia attempts to force Kagari to initiate re-evolution, but Kotarou manages to stop this from occurring. As a result, Kagari praises Kotarou and shows gratitude for showing her satisfactory memories. Kotarou unwillingly stabs Kagari, and after a kiss, they evolve into an orb of light inside a tree.
Humanity survives in the aftermath, but the world experiences an ice age outside of Kazamatsuri. In the city, a huge tree grows 500 meters tall in three years, which contains the orb of light from Kotarou and Kagari. The five heroines, now in high school, investigate the tree as members of the occult research society and transform Kotarou into a familiar, but he refuses to do what they demand. Kotarou takes the girls to the Moon where they are shown circled around a seedling (as the embodiment of the Moon's Kagari) sprouting on the otherwise barren regolith.
A 24-episode anime television series adaptation is directed by Tensho and produced by 8-Bit. The first 13 episodes aired between July 2 and September 24, 2016. The latter 11 episodes will premiere on January 14, 2017, which will adapt the Moon and Terra routes from the visual novel.
So, this is what you are talking about? The moon and earth arcs? If any of that is a spoiler, let me know. So was S1 the Moon or Earth arc?.. according to the Wikipedia entry, isn't S2 the latter?... the Terra arc or true conclusion? Again, from an esoteric angle, the "moon" mention is interesting, as it is said to be entering the 2nd density state currently, developing an atmosphere.... an old chunk of earth torn off long long ago by a passing large comet/asteroid, when earth was much younger and its form not solid. interesting.

Ok... saw the second season so far... very good, better than 1st season, but that is how all of these Key works operate...RPG/VN... the first season is always the expansion, and now the second season seems to have the contraction... to the main storyline and condensation of characters to their 'key' parts, or roles reaching towards the finale.... if the VN is like this second season, then it is classic Key in terms of how they condense things... keep the other 'players' in the background.... I like how the various previous lifetimes with the MC was presented in quick fashion of a montage, that was used again in a later ep or in same.... in an even more condensed format.... nice touch of editing there.... to keep pushing the action scene until they all died and the world reset..... then the setup in a quick lifetime in desert warfare.. then back to the world we know from the first season.... only from a different angle, side of the game.... nicely done, how the did all of it... Key is getting better with their projects it seems... learning from past mistakes or choices... as not all choices are really mistakes, but merely different ways of presenting the story... same in the VNs themselves from what I've read.
The pace has slowed down in the last couple of eps... but looks to ramp back up in another one or two... they really packed in alot of exposition in the first 2 or 3 eps.. no wasted space... not so far anyway... pretty 'tight', all around. Nice to see a well done work.

Yeah, 'engrish' they call it, right? But since this is for their home to local Asian marketplace, that 'engrish' might be deemed 'ok', right? Nothing close to accurate or real, but for them this might be acceptable? That anime about the band... can't remember the name... B... but the those 2 kids in particular were supposed to have grown up in the States... and their dialects weren't even close... not even close... but maybe this is acceptable in Japan?
