"Manga and Anime Explosion" will again be taught by Northrop Davis, a screenwriter and director of commercials whose accomplishments include creating the pitch that made James Cameron interested in filming a live-action version of Battle Angel Alita. He is also currently writing the screenplay for an American adaptation of the Berserk manga and executive-producing an English-language take on the Japanese television series Trainman."
