hemhem.. Fansubbers I appreciate the work you do, I only know a little japanese so you make it drastically easier to watch anime for me and lots of other anime fans. I also know that you do this out of your own time without any financial gain and for that I bow deeply in your direction.

Now the problem i have may seem minor, but if its miner it wont be hard to fix will it? and it would be more convinient for all anime fans who download. The problem is this, you know how you tend to put you anime Fansub groups name at the beginning of the anime File Name-Example-(fansub group name] Death Note - 33).
I was wondering if you could please put it at the back after the title-Example-(Death Note - 33 fansub group name]). Some groups already do this by the way.

This saves a lot of organization time for those of us(probably 95%) who don't delete right after download and would like to watch again. I have also thought of the possibility of you being worried that nobody will look who subbed the ep and you wont get any credit, but you all put your name beside the title of the anime that shows during the opening theme song right?

Side note - while im proposing changes i might as well complain aboult the outragous amount of underscores and dashes some fansubb groups use ine the file name, you should simply put the name-Example-Death Note(a sace here)(a dash here)(another space)and the episode # it would look like this in the end - Death Note - 33(Fansubb group name) - Thats not hard right? Thank you anybody who read this and actually acted upon my request.

title is licensed, fansub group name removed.

Well, first of all, Fansub.TV is NOT a fansub group. We just mainly host files and torrents for unlicensed anime.

Second, all the files that are host from Fansub TV are downloaded (via animesuki) through the fansub groups. So, the files name are officially released by fansub groups. We have no power to change the name, since I think it will also disrespect toward their works. We simply just hosting the files, and released it with the official name which is given by the related fansub groups. Therefore, I don't think it would be right or possible for us to change the file name without notices to the fansubers (I believe almost ALL the anime hosting sites also follow the official name from fansuber). And, I don't think it will make much differences since you always able to download the files and change the name by yourself though...

jul10, This is from the guy who wrote it, I know this is not a fansub group you dolt. I was posting an opinion, and since this is a popular site and people who sub anime tend to watch it to i thought they might come acrross it if they log onto this site. Sound probable? And I know I can change it myself its just a pain.

A pain? It takes a few key strokes and the click of a mouse. Minor problem is an understatement. If fansubbers improve anything it should be the subs themselves. You'd be surprised how many groups out there constantly make errors.

Well IF you really want to attract the fansubbers group attention you should do so in AS instead of here, since there's a section there.
Well just that you know I've seen worser file names, like 457456363. I'm not complaining at all.
Underscores_are_put_because_they_cannot_put_spaces. Try joining fansub groups and you would probably understand most of the stuff.

I'm sorry, did you actually read that? Well that may have been the whole point of using those underscores and stuff. Ever wondered that MAYBE, they LIKE doing what they're doing? You know that if, just IF they don't do it as they like to do. They 'might' stop doing what they're doing right now? Hell I sure as hell wouldn't want to do something that I don't wanna do. Specially when I'm not obligated to it. Moral of the story: They're wasting their time fansubbing it, you waste 10 secs of your time to rename it.

Take this as a warning, next time you try to bash or flame someone in here without an actual reason, you won't just be flamed back. Have faith in my words

.

Well I'd see where renaming is a problem for special reasons. I can't rename anything without it turning into .file or whatever, can't play them like that, as well as having very low disk space, and the few that I can change, the quality is highly degraded.

I would also agree with the fact that some I download I cannot watch without renaming, all of the underscores make the file name unreadable to the players I'm using, so I have to pray they work, and if not, pray I can do all I can to change the name without hurting myself, this is why I try to avoid anything with a symbol filled name.

I also agree with everyone else that the subs themselves and how everything works should be focused on before anything else, as well as flaming acomplishes absolutely nothing, and on an anime forum it's like putting a target on your back to have poisened darts thrown at you.

AnimeSuki is the only place this topic belongs, so here ya go: http://forums.animesuki.com/

It will still get listed in chronological order as long as the group doesn't mess with their naming scheme.

E-Penis is all that matters so of course all groups (except a few smart cool ones) will put logos/credits in the video.

Anyways you get points for insulting a mod. And I wonder which group did you say for Death Note? Was it Animanda?

/me is friends with the leader of Animanda and bets she would have a laugh at your suggestion.

Finally I'd like to point to Right Click --> Rename.

EDIT: More quote insanity @_@:

Don't remove the .extension when renaming and it won't turn into .file.

Am I mistaken or isn't this forum like the wannabe animesuki? Shouldn't we all get to flame and watch random topics be deleted?

Though I do agree this should go to animesuki.

Note: There's no fansubbers here anyway except a small few who visit randomly.

Here's an idea, rather than make everyone change they way they are currently doing things, why not right click that file name and change it to whatever you want it to be

I don't, I figured that out, however, sometimes I am not able. This is how badly I need a new computer, and I had someone work on it as well which is why there is ANY extension at all now which makes me mad, because I never use to see .mp3 or .jpg or whatever else on any of my files before. I recognized them all by the icon.

Also, no offense, but all anime sites seem a little high-strung, so please, don't ban me because I'm here mainly for the forums.

I'm confused, what is the problem again? You can't rename it? Does it give you an error saying that the file is being used by another program?

No, that's only if it's true. Some, I just can't. It's as simple as not letting me without any kind of error message. Sometimes I can even get those to work by uploading on some site and redownloading them after changing the name when the window "save as" comes up, sometimes I can't. My computer is a picky S.O.B.

Replace E with anything that starts with E, like... I don't know, electronic perhaps?

Um yeah we're kind of going off-topic.

You used to not see the extensions? That's default windows setup. The stupid way...

But if you want that again here you go.

Open Control Panel. Double Click on Folder Options.

Now click on the View tab. Find within that list the option called: Hide extensions for known file types.

Checkmark that option and all those evil .mp3, .jpg will disappear.

Sai: Internet Fame = E-Penis.

Makes them feel cool to be known. Funny isn't it?

EDIT: Why does my avatar randomly disappear every now and then.

/me points down two posts.

Second time that happened to me too. Though if I edit that post and add more content it will likely appear. (can't edit that one to note the missing avatar or I look like an idiot instead)
