Basically it's about a Hikkikomori girl who one day stumbles upon a man trapped in an island in the middle of, guess what, a river in the middle of the city. She found him while she was taking pictures with her uber sexy camera.
QUOTE Synopsis
The film depicts the lack of communication between modern people. Mr. Kim gets stranded alone on a desert island on the Han River. Although he makes desperate attempts to get off of the island, there are no signs of a solution. One day, Ms. Kim, who lives near the island, accidentally spots him and tries to contact him. Encouraged by her efforts to reach him, Mr. Kim resolves to escape from the island no matter what.

Found it while watching a show on a Korean channel about current and upcoming movies. What caught my attention was the hikkikomori girl at first lol. Then she finds a man trapped on an island in the middle of a river in the city [weird] and things got more interesting. I'm having high hopes for this one.

It's also interesting to note the theme of the film which is personal communication [as far as i understood]. With the rise of technology there's been a decline in personal communication among family members, neighbours etc. This is more apparent in the city compared to the country. Oftentimes me and my neighbors just walk past each other and sometimes even making small talk feels awkward and staying quiet feels much better. I don't really have a problem with that but it's an interesting topic to discuss among people interested in how society/communication works and how technology affects it.
Are there groups who sub Korean dramas? I so wanna watch this one.
