Code Geass R2: Lelouch of the Rebellion R2

To those who have not yet seen season 1, DO NOT READ ON UNLESS IN THIS THREAD UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE SPOILED.

Geass Continues 1 year after the ending of the first series. First episode has aired on April 6, 2008. It would seem Lelouch has ammnesia as well as a younger brother now. But what of Nunnally? C.C. is now the leader of the Order of the Black Knights, but what of Lelouch's Geass and the gunshot cliffhanger in season 1 episode 25?

A bunch of new characters along several returning ones. More mechs, more specs, and more CLAMP!

C.C. is much more attractive for sure than the first season in every way shape and form ^_____________^ especially in the opening.

I originally though the ppening theme was by HIGH and MIGHTY COLOR since it sounds like them and not something Orange Range usually does, but either way I'm impressed with it. The ED on the other hand is okay. Not great, but better than the first season endings.

I've got a site, where you can DDL the RAWs of all the new episodes of all the new series this Spring 2008, including Code Geass R2...should I put up a link or not ??

anyway ep1 was killer, and I love how everything went back to how it used to; although I would like some explainations on a lot of characters asap... love the OP/ED as well, one of the few I could actually watch every episode (then again I was able to for season 1 as well)

C.C is hot as ever so i'm just glad that I get to see more of her

- Lelouch does the same "please die" stuff as in S1 ep 1.
- Preview shows Kallen doing stuffs wearing Lelouch's uniform(she is quite...naked.) and EVIL C.C.
- ED consists of CLAMP-drawn pictures of Lulu Side and Empire side. Empire side characters have white wings, while Lulu side has black wings...Interestingly, rollo has one white and one black wing.


As for R2 - it seems that it IS licensed too.

and the first eppies been subbed at the usual place waiting to see my beloved c.c and Lelouch dunno if i should say the subber is if its been licensed though

right now we know its been licensed the new subber did the first season too if that helps

Where did you hear it was licensed? I know that it has been RUMORED that it WOULD BE licensed very soon, but not that it actually was licensed yet... It'd really suck to have to convince the better groups to sub it even if its licensed...

Basically all the manga, novels and both seasons are licensed.

Well... no need for the raws. Finally, someone released a sub! Though I'm not familiar with the group. But if it is licensed, the more established subbers wouldn't probably touch this, huh? So is it really licensed? In the old thread, someone said that it was an offhand comment by a Bandai staff. Of course, a lot of things can happen in a week. Oh well.. Just in time for bed... Something to watch when I wake up

AnimeWiz07, if you're talking about what happened to everyone, I can't help you there...

But I found this interesting collation of all the spoilers, teasers, specials, what-have-yous in RandomC - pretty much everything that came after the OVAs to avoid the confusion just to learn where everyone went and a good starting point before watching R2. Yes, yes yes yes yes!!!!! At laaaast!!!!! I can barely contain myself from jumping man. This episode was similar to first season ep 1, maybe to make us remember of the first season. But man, it feels so nostalgic. I just can't express my feelings now .

Okay I'm confused. Can I expect a sub here or do I need to go find other sources? Not that I have time to watch the sub in the next two days ... but it's R2 and I'm sure I'll find time between finals/essays.

edit: okay, apparently my other source is going to have is quite soon so I guess I wait on them but still, for future reference?

You probably won't find it here since the bots are feeding off animesuki and animesuki is not getting them since they're considering them licensed.

The confusing thing is I'm hearing all kinds of stories at this point regarding the license of geass R2. ANN says in their Anime Boston report that Bandai's licenses "plans" on extending their license to cover R2. However, I also remember reading on ANN within recently that Bandai has yet to officially confirm the license of R2.

Therefore the question is now, should we allow links for R2 because this will come up a lot in the next couple of days as well as in the near future now that episode 1 is released.

Until we come to a firm conclusion, I'm going to say that it is considered licensed for now just to be on the safe side.

I say allow the links, since it's not officially licensed, and it's good to promote this awesome show to other people, right? Well, it's my opinion, and if it wouldn't trouble the Fansub staff.

As Kit-Tsukasa said, the episodes will not be hosted here on FTV because Anime Suki wont be hosting it. Since we get all of our anime from Anime Suki, if they don't have it neither will we.
That said, I haven't seen any official confirmation of the second season being licensed, just that the current license will be (future tense) extended to cover the second season. Therefore, I think that we should be allowed to link to the episodes and talk about the subs, etc until such time as official confirmation comes out that the second season is (present tense) covered in the license agreement.

Here's the deal, I will see what a few sites do, especially those who don't usually host licensed series, and will come to a decision then after enough "support" is provided to justify hosting R2 via links.

Another way to notice is if any of the Bandai USA companies name in the credits of the OP or ED since if it's there, then we'll consider it licensed as Black Lagoon Second Barrage was licensed the very same way with Geneon USA not mentioning a word about extending their Black Lagoon license.

I just watched the subbed version of episode 01 of Code Geass R2 and I am simply speechless concerning it.

I wonder who gave Lulu fake memories ?? Was it Suzaku with his so-called Geass or the Emperor or was it when C.C. kissed him, which works according after a set time or when C.C. makes it happen by doing a few chants and stuff and the only way to release the seal was to get kissed again.

Man....I really can't wait for next week....this episode was amazing and its actually quite unbelievable....I'm NOW watching the second season....its just TOO good to be true.

The OP is good and the ED is okay but probably not as good as the OPs and the EDs used in the first season.

BTW, the fansub group who did it....how comes they used "Lelou" instead of "Lulu" ??

I haven't seen it yet, but assuming that they did use "lelou", I can tell you exactly why. His name is "Lelouch". When you shorten it, it's "Lelou" (first 5 letters). Lulu is how it's pronounced, but I guess technically it would be Lelou Official name vs. fan-preferred name, you know?

man that first ep was awfully confusing... did remind me a lot of season one.

Since when did LuLu have a brother...?

Seems like C.C sealed off his memories as well as awaken them.

Its still unclear as they have not explained what has happened at the end of S1 Last ep.

If I recall gunshots were exchanged on that last ep.

- A year has passed for what reason? dont you think the Order of the Black Knights could have grabbed LuLu somewhere and use an easier method then the way they did in ep 1?

Nonetheless an amazing episode, R2 is something to look forward to.

Right great first episode loved the bunnies had a hard time understanding why Villeta from the first season was chasin lulu and not shooting him and ure right C.C is lookin alot better from the first season but i carnt put my finger on why

Another thing im just gonna say dont care how ridiculous it sounds but i think nunally is rollo there i said it. they seem to similar even the way they speak or his just a distraction that the emperor made who proberly gave him his fake memories aswell using V.V who was with him in the end credits. which is more likly seems as they know he is still alive by the conversation they had at the end.

i am hoping that zero atleast trys to free the rest of the knights that were captured to rekindle some faith back to the japanese as well as the chinese that had just arrived .Maybe some kind of joint operation to overthrow the emperor might be a future plot

i am also very curious as to what happened at the school and the cave regarding the bombs obversly they didnt go off or there would be a whole lot of new characters aswell as how did C.C survive (she just wont go down which i love about her ).It seem as this season will be just askin more questions when alot of us are still lookin for answers which is not necercery a bad thing unless they drag it on to long and leave every thing to the last minute. well theres my thoughts glad to get it off my chest
