Video Editor Help

I wonder what is the best video editing software for beginners. As many of us often uses window movie maker and knows its limits, what are the other choice of free software that I as a beginner able to use as easy as window movie maker?

Sometimes your DVD burning software will come with a movie editor. That would be a good place to start looking since it's free and not free. You get the benefits of a paid product but don't have to pay extra for it.

Beyond that the only other one I know of is VideoSpin. It's basically a free less featured version of a paid product. There are probably lots more but I'm not a movie editor kind of person so I don't really know what they are.
