Genre: Comedy, romance, drama

Synopsis:
The life of Go Eun Chan (Yoon Eun Hye) is not easy; she works many jobs to pay off debts and even gave up her feminine image. Choi Han Kyul (Gong Yoo) is the heir of a big food company, but his grandmother wants him to settle down, so she arranged many dates for him. After Eun Chan bumped into Han Kyul and was mistaken for a boy, Han Kyul decided to hire Eun Chan to be his gay lover in order to avoid the arranged dates. Desperately in need of money, Eun Chan had no choice but to accept. Han Kyul's grandmother also made Han Kyul in charge of a filthy coffee shop in danger of being bankrupt. Eun Chan begged to work at the coffee shop, and not long after, feelings start to spark, except, how would Han Kyul accept his "homosexuality"? --- taken from drama Wiki

Absolutely hilarious comedy on romance and love of a platonic kind XD i loved watching this really unique and funny drama and somehow this has a certain edge to it that many other dramas didnt >.< it gets to the point, the atmosphere is pretty much romantically charged and not once did i feel bored while watching even when trying to finish it all in one sitting XD (which obviously didnt work...) it is just the right length for a drama to fully unfold and though i feel the ending was some how squashed together i think the true ending was done well. the bit where she goes off to do her own thing and comes back is just an epilouge of sorts ^^ anyways, i highly recomend this! if you're watching it or planning to watch this series please leave a comment on your thoughts, opinons or impressions! ^^

I fear that I have joined the ranks of the Coffee Prince addicts.

I was warned that once I started watching I wouldn't be able to stop and this seems to be true.

I have to say that it wasn't the first episode that hooked me. I didn't find Eun Chan and her (almost unavoidably) aggressive approach to life very endearing as it seemed a bit overdone; however, when she was mistaken for a boy, and found herself mixed up in the life of Han Kyul, the ridiculous situations in which she found herself kept me watching. Learning the background stories of the various characters certainly gave Coffee Prince the extra depth that perhaps I was seeking in the first episode. Each episode I've seen has left wondering what can possibly happen next. So far I've watched three episodes and I've really enjoyed them. This romantic comedy is well worth seeing.

i have to agree with you on the first episode thing

for me the first episode was pretty confusing and i pretty much disregarded everything before Eun Chan walked into Han Kyul's hotel room. but everything after that is pure comedy

the main actress is called Yoon Eun Hye (playing: Eun Chan) and the main actor is called Gong Yoo (playing Han Kyul) you can watch more on the links nahrallah posted above ^^ hope to see another fan here soon ^^

also the main girl played as the crown princess in goong. shes a very good actress. im trying to tell my mom to watch this but she kept saying that i give her some dramas that arent done yet. i told her its done. lol if she sees this she'll love it.

i really enjoy this. the funny thing was when she was having an eating contest with that dude in eating this noodle with black bean sauce. ugggh! even the old man using his towel cleaning his toes and using the same towel to clean his neck and TEETH!!

Coffee Prince first caught my eye because I had seen Gong Yoo (the male lead) in Hello My Teacher and wanted to see something else from him. I really enjoyed this series, initially at least, but...
...I honestly sort of lost interested after Han Kyul found out Eun Chan was a girl. I found it rather unbelievable that after feeling so betrayed, he would recover so quickly (actually, I don't think a relationship could survive such a major deception, but anyway...) After that, it seemed to be mostly about when they would get married and about her "independence." Zzzzzzz...

And I thought the secondary couple was excruciating to watch. The whole time I was chanting, "dump her, dump her." My friend and I couldn't keep up with their getting together/splitting up over & over again.

That's just my opinion, of course.

The "Coffee Princes" themselves (i.e. the other boys who work at the cafe) were pretty fun to watch, too.

yeah! i couldnt really stand the secondary couple story =/ it felt to me like an add on and i think most of the drama was created because of that secondary couple

well its a drama i suppose - things like that are supposed to happen even if it's so unrealistic
tongue.gif
but he doesnt find out until about half way or even past half of the series if memory serves me right
wink.gif
so that isn't too bad - him finding out just allowed the script writers to put in more melodrama for a few episodes before they return to normal drama

Argh! this whole thread is dead >.< time to do a little reviving with some news!
Coffee Prince has been dubbed in chinese! this is especially big news to all you drama addicts living in singapore as they will be airing it on Free to Air TV soon! so keep a watch out for it! as for everyone else, i still recomend you watch the original as the dubbed isn't as good as the original

This series sounds interesting, I think I'll be watching it when I get the time. The plot reminds me of HanaKimi or OHSHC where the girls is mistaken as a guy.

I can't believe that I didn't put more effort into finding the last episodes when my source dried up. I just finished rewatching the episodes I'd already seen and watching the ones I hadn't. Coffee Prince is definitely one of my favourite Korean dramas. When watching I'd often either laugh at the absurd situations, sigh at the sad events or smile broadly, and perhaps somewhat foolishly, at the sweet moments. Coffee Prince was an absolute joy to watch.

im fall in love with this series...i feel like im flying in the air whenever the kissing part comes...so i will put all my effort just to meet her (yoon eun hye) once in a lifetime...this series inspired me everytime im watched it..it makes my life much happier..

im fall in love with eun chan and his/her style..(blowing the hair)
