another series from the creator of Honey & Clover and Paradise Kiss. i've heard the manga is pretty good so i figure it's worth checking out.

I have read vulome 1-13 and its really good, sure it has some stupid chocies that NANA(hachi) does but it really good.

Wow, I can't believe how closely that followed the manga (even if they did skip a volume, but it was all intro anyway). I'm not sure I like the animation of Nana Komatsu as compared to her manga counterpart, but otherwise it seems fine. Like the ending song too.

Closely follow the manga <=> skip a volume. LOL

Anyway i really enjoyed the first ep, the art seems really original, and the story seems really interesting so far. I did not read the manga (yet)

i thought of seeing this anime but then i feel lazy to wait and downlaod it...is the anime series the same storyline as the movie?and also the manga of course..are they all the same??if it is ill just download the movie

After watching the first two episodes, I'm not sure how good this series is. I don't particularly like the story and rather dislike the animation. The songs are starting to get annoying as well. I'm going to see the 3rd episode to see if it improves or not.

I'm not sure I like where they're going with Nana. I loved episode one and was glad they skipped the first manga volume because I don't want to watch the backstory. Only after that first episode, they decided to give us the backstory and if Komatsu's history takes two episodes, that means nothing will happen until episode four (and that's if they skip the other Nana's backstory until later on).

I think Nana has a lot of potential to be a decent anime, but the whole backstory thing is like filler and it's only episode two.

not only the anime version, nana alson have the "real" version right?? which one is better??

yeah it got the dorama version real one..quite famous but i cant remember the cast...about a year or two back hurmmm

do u guys while reading the manga (those who read i mean) felt that one of the nana's might die?? sometimes the narration gave out that kind of vibe. or it could just be me
ohmy.gif
.. but the anime so far is good!

I've seen number 6 on Youtube... It's pretty much the same as the first episode, but with a few random bits added in. No point in seeing to be honest.

QUOTE (chiisai_hana @ May 21 2006, 02:34 PM) Have episodes 2-5 been the 'backstory' from volume 1? I really liked episode one but hated when they decided to go into backstory and stopped watching after episode 2 or 3

Well, if you have already read the manga (and the assuming the anime is exactly like the manga) then everything is going to be filler, as far as you are concerned. I have never read the manga and I really like the series so far. The plot is interesting, and the characters are pretty fleshed out, even if Nana (the non-rock one) is a little annoying at times with her naviety.
