Manga Studio Debut 3.0 i belive
i got it but i have no idea how to use it at all not even the basics ... I SUCK

manga studio is a program for professional mag drawers but it is also avilable to the public and i cant find any usfull ones there all to complex ^^

ye its a really complex program it was even complex installin the program from that weird file type which u needed to dl like damon tools to open it :S, i think once you get a graphics tablet you can start to experment with the different brushes on offer etc. i dont know how to use it myself but hey wat the hell we're in the same boat.

any one know where to get a GFX tablet? and i lie kteh ava i know what you meen about it looing good ^^

I have manga studio EX. I use it with my pen tablet. wacom works best I had a few problems with serial linked pen tablets. Yeah, Manga studio is fairly complex. It took me weeks to get used to it but now I use it pretty often. I started with debut, but found it was too limited for the works I was doing. I also found that EX was more stable on my network and has much more freedom to use other softwares to import export and colourize my images.

If you are not an artist just stick to corel or adobe. Manga studio seems to be for advanced users. But there are three sights that had great tutorials. One site actually has over 300hrs of video training tutorials, just for Manga Studio EX. There are no plug-in packs for Mnaga Studio, except to poser and anime studio users. But anime studio is the next generation of manga studio. it has all the same things as manga studio but also has gif support and avi support.

I am using Manga studio EX due to my e-zine and my comic section I produce. But, even still I have to finish and secure the images with either corel or adobe. since manga studio doesn't put secure document tags into saved files. But EX imports and exports in realtime with both products. And Manga Studio EX flawlessly takes in thousands of layers without using up much ram nor cpu which is why I use it. In adobe, after just a few dowzen layers my ram was maxed out. while in Manga Studio EX, the same file doubled the layers and still didn't max out my ram.

So it depends on your taste. I needed something that uses less resources on my system and Manga Studio EX did just that. It took some learning. But now that I know the tricks and how to import and shade. Learned how to layer, and colourize. I am good to go. It's worth the time to go to the training and tutorial links that came with even debut edition. They helped me alot, and the admins and users on those forums helped me and even had printouts of the shortcut keys and some had templates already made since they are more common for lower budget animators and artists like me. And the student section gave us great tutorials. I liked the animated tutorials and even made them into DVD so I could review them while using Manga Studio EX at the same time. I liked the tutorial from some college in Illinois. It was in powerpoint but had a great lecture section. The insructor gave great tricks of the trade. She showed us how to skip steps yet still have a great finished product by suing layers instead of mapping every line.

I tried manga studio debut before but I just dun understand how it works :|
I cannot select using the wand button, cannot fill ect ect :| so I delete it already
are the basics of Photoshop and manga studio EX the same? if yes I'll take a look at it

Personally, I found Manga Studio EX & Debut to be closer to GIMP 2.x then it is to Adobe or Corel. I like adobe illustrator and photoshop cs2, better the corel suite x3, I also have corel's paint shop pro, and Painter. with all that and the other softwares I have the only problem I have is storage space.

When using Manga Studio, you should be aware of you brush properties. And note your layers since the program is quite specific. But once you get past the line mapping everything gets easy. And it does handle SOOOO many layers. That and it uses less ram and cpu on my system is what drew me to it. If adobe and corel used less ram I'd use those more often. But lately, ever since my girl got me illustrator I have been using manga studio less often. I've only been using manga studio for my comic section of the ezine I put out. Everything else is mainly done in Corel, and for websites and prints, I've been using Adobe.

lol from everyones feedback i think that i will just del it

lol that will take a long time to look through btu yes i may give it a go if i can also look at these to plz

sorry killaflip,,, I never checked back for so long on this thread, I am sorry it took over a year, I'll load the links to the video tutorials, but first let me see if they are still online. That is if you are still interested after a year. Again, sorry. I didn't blow you off it's just I didn't follow this thread for so long, I left it since the strater of the thread was giving up and deleting it. If I knew you and the thread starter wanted the links I would've put them up long ago. Being as it's been a year, I now have to verify the links and check if those tutorials are still even online. It may be about a week but I know it is on one of my backup disks for links... Hope you didn't give up on manga studio, unless you got the anime studio suite by now. While now I have been using toon boom storyboard. This helped cause I can export as an animated manga/comic. Animation studio kinda does the same but doesn't export to pdf, gif, powerpoint, avi, nor mov file formats. And having the ability to animate my comics is awesome for both my websites and also for my comics...hope you got to use your manga studio since last time... But, as an artist, I am finding that readers and even other srtists are moving more from 2d-images, to 2d-animated layering. It's getting harder to keep up with what manga audiences want. Lately I have been adding embedded voices to the comics,,, so as the pages are scrolled the scene is heard (played by my voice actors/actresses, and soundtracks ofcourse).
