Synopsis: The story of the original manga begins after 70% of the moon was suddenly vaporized in an explosion. The super lifeform responsible for this catastrophe is a strange tentacled creature that can slink around at supersonic Mach 20 speeds. It has a 10 billion yen (US$100 million) price on its head, but for some reason, this creature ends up teaching a middle school class at the beginning of the school year. The students have until graduation to assassinate the teacher, or it will destroy Earth as well. The event anime special will adapt the original manga's popular segment about the field trip to ancient Kyoto.

A humorous and action-packed story about a class of misfits who are trying to kill their new teacher – an alien octopus with bizarre powers and super strength! The teacher has just destroyed the moon and is threatening to destroy the earth – unless his students can destroy him first. What makes things more complicated is that he's the best teacher they've ever had!

Necropinion: I just saw OVA 1 subbed and it reminds me a bit to Danganronpa, with an alien teacher instead so I'll try the TV series and live action next year

I've been waiting forever for koro-sensei's poker face to be animated.

My body is ready, obviously.

This series seems interesting. To kill the sensei seems pretty impossible so it will be fun to see which ideas the students think of.

I love this so much! I know the manga since 2012, having it animated is honestly such a joy.
I am hoping Irina Jelavić will be joining them soon, then it will be complete!

i hope too that Bitch-sensei joins them next week, anyway ep'3 got even better with the smartest and deadliest student... Karma was the first who managed to hurt Koro-sensei, so I guess Karasuma's P.E. will be a piece of cake for him

This is a fun series. Even though the students want to kill him, Koro-sensei actually is a good teacher. To see Karma going from an pretty nasty guy to one who does care a bit (and feels cared for) was nice. I hope we get to see more of the attempts of the other students. Nagisa seems the most dangerous one somehow. He is just taking notes on the weaknesses of Koro-sensei...which combined can make one good plan to succeed.

Im a bit dissapointed, don't mean to be a killjoy since im in the same boat (wanted this animated since ch1) but im getting a serious case of cold feet from the voices in my head not matching the voices from the voice actors
tongue.gif
(specially koro sensei, i imagined a voice more deep and just as looney but not that goofy sounding :S)

I will at least wait until bi... i mean Irina-sensei joins them. But i cant help but feel i will drop this soon. Such a shame.

I am intrigued however, i wonder what chapter they will choose for ending the animation. 22 eps so maybe they can reach the consultation after the "godlike" hitman?

But I understand for people like us who wanted this to be animated, all have a different imagination on what kind of voice would be used, that is totally normal to feel disappointed about if it doesn't fit.

Yeah you can't please everyone's imagination, specially when very popular very long grade A manga becomes animated.

But its animated :3 im still happy, both for the author and fans (myself included)

It has been a while, The serie is still progressing its way towards fullfillment.
With latest episode 7 and upcoming 8, being what I believe to be a remake of the OVA. I was having dejavu attacks untill I realized that it was also used for the OVA from 2013. At which I must say that I was dissapointed... rather wait for episode 9 as they continue, but I can consider the 2nd part (8) to be a filler as there is not much else to watch this season >.>

By the way (Off-topic from anime) I see that there will be a Live-Action movie of Assassination Classroom on march the 12th 2015 (yes this Month) I will probably make a topic on the live-action forum about this, but even so.. Why?! Why a Live-action? (Yes I have already seen the trailer, there for I ask...Why?!)

P.S. The live-action is a personal confusing struggle for me as we have the anime at this moment..so..Why?!

QUOTE (Masich @ Mar 02 2015, 12:07 PM)The live-action is a personal confusing struggle for me as we have the anime at this moment..so..Why?!lately there are more musicals based from anime while they're airing, like sailor Moon or Kamisama Hajimemashita... also TV remakes from old OVAs like JoJo's or Arslan Senki, back to ep.8 cliffhanger i'm looking forward the new students
smile.gif

Lol I just checked the live action trailer.. well at least half of it

They did a really meh job animating Koro sensei. I'm not a fan of Japanese movies in general, but Japan really lags behind in that kind of stuff in movies. :/

I like the anime though. Just wish Nagisa didn't have that hair, it annoys me somehow haha.

I was greatly confused by that, as I was just sitting and thought by myself... I don't believe this is part of the episode :/ until the very last 4sec >< lol

I don't believe this is part of the episode :/ until the very lastxD even part of Sonic Ninja's premiere at hawaii shows in ep'10, if Lerche could have done a better job animating it -.-... but was nice to see Irina and her boss trying to 'kill' Karasuma, also another new student and his mysterious master

Episode 13... (Takes 3 paces backwards)...
I'm surprised the genre Psychological isn't reported on any anime/manga site, about this series.
It is all about assassinating koro-sensei...isn't assassination on itself psychological?

Either way, the series is still following its origin... making it sadly predictable for me. (Blame myself for following the manga), Although I do wonder if there will be a 2nd anime season of this in the future... or even an end of that matter >.> . Oh well, 9 episodes left cant wait!

biggrin.gif

Been a while *Waters it*

I honestly hope on everything, above all, for a second season, this season has gotten far in the manga.
Anyways, back to the series, who believe that Nagisa will kill Koro-Sensei? Yes, I know, it will probably be the entire class (IF) that happens, but still my money is on her!.. I mean him!! ... Blame them for using a voice actress for that character! Even though it does fit + the dress up in episode 20...

Looking forward to the last 2 episodes!
