QUOTE (Bold @ Aug 04 2006, 09:37 PM) There is something I don't quite get. GST is the federal tax. How can Ontario have a tax free weekend INCLUDING GST? Ontario could suspend the provincial tax for a weekend, that is their business. But how could they do it with the federal one???
If there is somekind of agreement with Ottawa, I wonder why Ontario is the only one with something like that. I can confirm there is no such thing in Quebec. Judging from noob's reaction, it seems Alberta does not have it either .... I wonder ....
That is exactly what I was wondering. I mean, it's not like we have any PST in Alberta that we could suspend anyway, but how in the world can they suspend GST for three days? Though, I do agree it is fairly a short period of time, but it still is a period of time in which the GST is suspended... Isn't that like breaking the laws or something?
Side note:... Are you seriously from Ontario? Is Ontario, still, a part of Canada? Are you for real? Is this some sort of a 'supposed hilarious' joke?
Thousands of more questions that I'd like to ask, but the time is limited.
edit: I believe I've solved the problem, are you from Texas?
