The Fanart Thread

I noticed that there werent any fanart threads =O So i decided to start one! Or maybe there isnt one.. because im the only freak who draws fanart? Y-Y Well if you have ever drawn a fanart before, please post it here so we can all lookie~ I'll start by posting one of mine.

Note: Please dont bash anyones fanarts, cuz thats just mean >D<

Ahh yeah i love drawing Sora!!!! Sometimes when im bored i just doodle him e.e;

Now I just might be a strange thought I had, but it thought there be a lot more conversing in the Fanart thread. i thought a lot of people would be into it is all. I consider myself a novice compared to most people. Just thought I be interesting to possible expand discussions to give pointers in improving the persons fan art. I know for me I always ask as many people as possible to took at my art work before I finalize but that my just be me.

I drew these pictures back in early 2000 or late 1999. So that was like 6-7 years ago since I ever drew anything. I was like 11 years old. Loved Pokemon and Yugioh to death since they were one of the few anime shown in America. Now I don't really watch them at all. I didn't really find out that you can download fansubs on the net back then. Plus I was on dialup


Anyways, back then I was so bored I had nothing to do after school. So I took this display board for my science project that I did the year before and created into a card game board to play with my Yugioh cards. Then I thought maybe I can draw a simple picture on there to make it look cool. So I drew Yugi Motou(shown on the very last pic bottom right). After that it was a chain reaction of pictures I drew. Until I got sick and had a fever and never drew since, not even today. It still remains incomplete today because I don't want to finish it. Just to keep it as a personal memory from the past.

Well here they are in order of how my board looks like:



In order of names from top left to the top right:
Obilisk(blue), Sky Dragon of Ra(yello), Slifer(Red), Magician of Black Chaos(under Obilisk), Exodia(under Ra)
Bottom row:
Kaiba, Yami Yugi(yugi's alternate form), Dark Magician Girl, and of course Yugi on the very bottom.

Each page you see is the size of a paper standard 8x11. All the pictures were not traced since I got them out of my cards. was done with pencil, pen, markers, and colored pencils.

The blank spaces and colored squares were intially where the cards were suppose to be placed. I was also planning on upgrading the puzzle(triangular pyramid) with gold metallic paper that I've seen at Michael's(art store). I still can't believe I drew something like this today.

The latest thing I created is the School Rumble dream box I mentioned about in the school rumble thread. Although I don't have a digital camera to take pictures of it. Once I get one, I will upload it to here if anyone is interested in seeing it.

Not done in felt pen yet, just want some comments from some experts and ways i can make it better, if you dont mind?

StriderHiru, i wouldn't call myself an expert, but i will make comments on what i think. Over all i think your drawing is great, but there is something about the torso that bothers me, but it could just be me (maybe too long).

Well, this wasn't drawn by me, but was drawn by my friend. It's a group thing, really, and has me in the pic.... there's a note in the back too, but I won't say XD:

Lets see since I was in 4 Art Class with an A. I see you are a scatcher (arr cant spell it) try to make one line on those part. You should go a little lighter on the collar bone. Looking like the right *coughtitcough* is lopsided to the other side. The pic I give a 8 or 9 out of 10 because it still good. Well that just my opinion.

Oh yea don't forget to erase those smugs on your pic to make it better.

lazy to post....I really can't post the other pic I already drew beacause no cam and scanner to small but I did post some of my other in the general drawing thread pg 8.

This is a fanart of Tamama in Keroro Gunso . My sister did the shading for me. the rest was by me.

All these was took by a camera so some will be a little shakey and most of them was not drawn resently.
First 2 is from DNAngel both of them the same one. Next one is Chi from Chobit then Primula from Shuffle. Next one after primula is Jeanne d'Arc aka Maron from Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne. This last one is resently did when I was on my trip at Disney World but it not finish but I think the person on the picture I was drawing was Lycoris from Shuffle

All of them was done by me alone also sorry if some hard to see hand cant keep in one place so I can take those pic.
